Brea Bennett



Brea M Bennett is a 2023 graduate of the Master of Nonprofit Leadership and
Management program at Arizona State University and a member of the Nu Lambda Mu
Nonprofit Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, Golden
Key International Honor Society, and Alpha Chi Honor Society. She also has a BBA in
Accounting and an MBA with a focus in Human Resources Management, both from Texas A&M
University. She is currently qualified and actively studying for the CPA exam, which he hopes to
finish within the next year.
With over 20 years of experience, Brea’s diverse background includes managing day to day and
strategically focused functions – including Executive Leadership, Accounting, Finance, Human
Resources, Payroll, Administration, Operations, Facilities, Grant Management, Contracts, and
Revenue Cycle, primarily in the nonprofit sector. She has dedicated her career to helping
nonprofits whose missions are to end hunger and homelessness, provide equitable opportunities,
and those addressing mental health--particularly as it relates to youth and veterans. Her senior
leadership opportunities have included employment with several international nonprofits, such as
Covenant House International as Controller and Make a Wish America, as Senior Manager of
Accounting Services. In addition, she has served as Director of Finance and Accounting for the
North Texas Food Bank and has been the Chief Finance and Administrative Officer at Treatment
Assessment Screening Center, an Arizona nonprofit dedicated to alcohol and substance abuse
prevention and counseling, since February 2018.
Some of her previous volunteer work includes being active with New York Cares, Susan G
Komen, and Tough Mudder for several years and she is currently an active Wish Grantor at Make
a Wish Arizona.
Brea is a lifelong sports enthusiast as both a fan and participant, particularly of baseball. The
love of the game came about very early in her childhood, having been introduced to baseball by
her father almost as soon as she could throw a ball. She played softball all through elementary
and High School and continued to participate in intramural softball in college. She also currently
works part time as a Guest Services Representative for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
In her free time, she also enjoys reading, hiking, bike riding, swimming, and traveling –
primarily exploring national parks, and attending sporting events.
