Steve brings a strong mix of non-profit and business management and sales and fund development skills to the table. His experience as consultant to and leader in the non-profit sector spans more than 20 years, and includes work with social services, healthcare, educational, arts and animal welfare organizations. As Regional Foundation and Marketing Director of the Petco Foundation, he created and implemented business and marketing strategies across the Midwest. He served as Chief Development Officer at Joliet Catholic Academy, where he was responsible for all corporate relations, financial, marketing, recruitment and fund development operations. As Senior Director, Major Gifts for Resurrection Health Care in Chicago, he provided leadership and hands-on participation in the ongoing giving programs, throughout the entire system, while working to monitor and modify income development and financial models. As CSO at OMNI Youth Services, he more than doubled annual development dollars while creating and launching 2 new impactful and highly profitable regional programs. Steve has also served as President of the Marquette General Hospital Foundation in Michigan as well as the CEC/Seabee Historical Foundation in Gulfport, Mississippi both in a leadership, strategic planning and fund development capacity.
Most recently, he serves as the President and CEO of Summit School Inc. in the near western suburbs of Chicago. Steve oversees all fund development and business management aspects of the school, including financial reporting, budgeting, account management, benefits, plants and grounds, maintenance and equipment. Mr. Baldwin was a member of the faculty at Robert Morris University, College of Business and has an MBA in finance and marketing and an undergraduate degree in economics, both of which he has employed in overseeing sales, marketing and management initiatives, both domestically and abroad, for retail, educational and manufacturing as well as non-profit organizations.
Steve is married and the proud father of 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys ranging in age from 6 to 20 years old. He is an avid hockey player and enjoys playing football and softball and sky-diving and snowmobiling. He currently lives in the near western suburbs of Chicago!
