George Powell, a New England native, has been active in sports his entire life, He is an
avid Baseball, Football Basketball and especially Hockey player and fan since 1970.
George is the Founder of the National Adult Hockey league which had 50 adult hockey
teams throughout New England competing for a regional Championship. George also
founded the Chowder up Hockey Tournament in 1991 which is still operating today with
thousands of players attending a WoodStock” type of experience for over 30 years.
George also founded the New England Indoor football league that was designed to teach
young adults skills and sportsmanship in footballs “off season” The NEIFL was cited by the
New Hampshire legislature as a vehicle that keeps children off city streets on weekend
providing a safe and structured environment.
George joined the NAFBF’s Board of Directors because he believes in the mission and good
will the organization provides as well as the benefit to young adults to use their skills to
obtain a good education and path into adulthood.
George owns Argos Scientific which helps medical facilities by recouping lost revenue
using A I technology and also provides low cost testing supplies to medical professionals
for the drug and alcohol industry.
